Our Systems Engineering team ensures we have the right software requirements and specifications documented for our systems and that we have the right verification and validation in place to demonstrate them. There is a strong focus in the team on working with stakeholders from across the organization to make sure that the right information is being documented in the right place. System Integrators help support modeling of complex systems to help build common understanding of current and future system design and functionality.

We are looking for individuals who know how to analyze complex systems, recognize patterns and understand the relationships between components, their inputs and outputs and the properties of each. Team members should be strong communicators who can work with cross-functional teams to ensure that complex technical concepts are understood by all. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Product and Systems Knowledge: Work and collaborate with product and systems subject matter experts such as Product Managers, and Architects to gain expert knowledge of the product’s and system’s use cases, functional and non-functional behavior, system’s components interconnectivity properties and their respective input and output specifications. 
  • System Assessment: Evaluate  systems and components’ existing technology infrastructure, integration specifications to identify integration needs and opportunities.
  • Design and Planning: Collaborate with Customers, Architects, Release Train Engineerings, Product Managers, development teams and other internal teams to analyze, design and plan comprehensive systems integration and verification activities. Participate in the development of system requirements and specifications for the products and systems under your purview. .
  • Integration Test Development: Develop, configure, automate and customize continuous integration tests to ensure seamless data flow, and correct functional and non-functional behavior.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve integration issues, troubleshoot compatibility problems, and implement solutions to optimize performance.  Investigate system complaints, perform root cause analysis of failures, and propose remediation in a timely fashion.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of integration processes, configurations, and changes to ensure clarity and transparency.
  • System Modeling: Understanding of UML, SysML or other modeling languages to build accurate models of our systems and views for various stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, both internal and external, providing updates, addressing inquiries, and offering support throughout the system integration process. Challenging peers while improving processes and proposing process optimizations. Promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to stakeholders to ensure understanding and effective utilization of the integrated systems and products.
  • Defect Management: Report defects in defect tracking system and verify fixes for defects.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Science or related technical discipline.

 

Minimum qualifications/skills:

  • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer, Systems Integrator or similar role.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with building requirements/test traceability.

 

Preferred qualifications/skills:

  • Experience testing systems  using automated testing methodologies and tools.
  • knowledge in programming languages, and scripting.
  • Experience working on distributed systems, and microservices.
  • Experience working in a SAFe or Agile environment.
  • Experience interfacing with customers.
  • Certifications in relevant cloud technology platforms such as AWS.
