Republic Airways successfully launches NAVBLUE’s N-Flight Planning solution, first phase of a long-term collaboration for OCC solutions

⎯ First step in long-term collaboration signed last September
⎯ Republic’s entire fleet now using N-Flight Planning to optimise resources and increase productivity

Toulouse, France, 2 May 2024 – NAVBLUE and Republic Airways, one of the largest regional airlines in North America, have successfully launched NAVBLUE’s N-Flight Planning (N-FP) solution, marking the completion of the first phase of the technology collaboration between both companies.

After an extensive phase of planning, testing, training and practice sessions, Republic Airways airline is now using N-FP on its entire fleet of Embraer 170/175 aircraft, which will bring added value to the airline by optimising for minimum flight time, fuel burn or total cost.

N-FP is part of NAVBLUE’s suite of operational solutions designed to optimise flight operations by enabling flight dispatchers to rapidly compute flight plans while considering payload, aircraft performance, current weather, and air-traffic constraints.

Marc Lemeilleur, CEO of NAVBLUE, added, “We are thrilled to help Republic Airways successfully launch N-FP. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of both the Republic Airways and NAVBLUE teams. Our innovative solutions are designed to streamline operations, optimise resources and increase productivity, and we are confident that Republic Airways will see significant benefits from this implementation. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and supporting Republic Airways in their technology transformation journey.”

Paul Kinstedt, Republic Airways Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, said, “The successful implementation of N-FP is a significant milestone in our strategic collaboration with NAVBLUE”. “It’s a great start and gives us momentum heading into the next phase of the project. For this project to succeed, we need the entire team working together to keep the promises we’ve made to one another in terms of schedules and functionality. The FAA, our partners, our crews and our passengers need to know that this transition will maintain our unyielding commitment to safety, enhance operational efficiency, improve situational awareness and deliver a better travel experience. Those are very high but essential expectations, but I am confident we’ll meet them. We look forward to the continued rollout of the NAVBLUE suite of applications”.

The launch of N-FP is the first step in Republic Airways adoption of NAVBLUE’s Digital Operations Control Centre (OCC) solutions. The next phase of the collaboration will involve the implementation of NAVBLUE’s N-Ops & Crew (N-OC) solution, which will provide Republic Airways with a single solution for both operations and crew management, allowing the airline to better automate, manage, and optimise crew schedule planning, day-of-ops crew control, crew training and qualifications and crew mobile access.
